COVER REVEAL! No Relationship Required

I can’t begin to tell you how much I love this cover.  All I told the designer was that I wanted Wyatt, and here he is. Wow. Deranged Doctor Designs did an amazing job! Thank you so much!

No one knows Wyatt Ryder’s secret—and no one ever will.

Fear rules his life, as he hides behind a golden boy façade of a high-rise penthouse, a weekend beach house, and all the starlets and models he could ever want or need.

But he’s been used one too many times, and now casual sex is the only thing Wyatt wants…no relationship required.

What he didn’t count on, however, was that one little complication called ‘mutual attraction’ when an ambitious woman seeks out his help to take her ad agency to new heights.

But that’s the thing about sexual tension and undeniable chemistry. It strikes unexpectedly, and it’s almost impossible to ignore…even if you know that it will ultimately end in disaster.

Coming April 25th! Preorder today.

Warning: Contents are Still Hot

Wildfire Hurricane has a new cover and a new title! The story hasn’t changed, but what used to be the Ryder Boys novels are now Warning Labels novels—with three more hazardous materials to come. After Dash, Wyatt, and Malcolm, I’ll be writing Tripp, Javon, and Reid. All my men need a warning label.

It’s been thirteen years since Dash Ryder got his heart sent to an early grave when his high school sweetheart betrayed him in the worst possible way.

Now, years later, he’s certain that he’s over it, that he’s moved on…until fate decides to throw him a curveball and reunites him with the woman who tore his heart out, Simone Leveque.

But there’s nothing romantic about their reunion—at all. She’s his new boss, and it’s all business, nothing more.

Unfortunately, fate can’t be fought as lies are exposed, and once the inferno of reckless passion consumes you…there’s no way you can keep away from the heat.

Many thanks to Deranged Doctor Designs for creating the new cover, and to Wicked by Design for the old one. They’re both great, but the Warning Labels design fits the entire series. The second book, No Relationship Required, will be released on April 25th.

The publishing business is all about change, but you can always count on Amelia James for sizzly sexy love with no limits.

#CoverReveal! Wildfire Hurricane – The Ryder Boys, Book 1

Here it is: the cover of my upcoming contemporary romance, Wildfire Hurricane! Robin Harper at Wicked by Design did an amazing job, and I’m thrilled with the results.

When Simone Leveque met Dash Ryder in seventh grade, she immediately fell for him—head over heels down the stairs…

Despite her less than graceful introduction, Simone jumped right up and yelled, “Ta-da,” drawing the attention and admiration of everyone, including Dash. The two quickly became bickering best friends, fighting about anything and everything until Dash finally kissed her, cementing their young love for a lifetime.

They fought hard and made up harder, but some things are unforgivable…

Simone knows Malcolm lied to Dash. Plain and simple. She would have never cheated on him, especially with his own brother. Dash wouldn’t believe her back then, and thirteen years later when their careers bring them back together, he still won’t.

Dash can’t believe the woman who sent his heart to an early grave is now his new boss…

Time doesn’t heal pain. Dash still can’t forgive Simone for betraying his trust all those years ago, and when old tensions combine with an undeniable attraction, a new flame takes hold—literally.

An out of control wildfire tests Dash’s firefighting crew, and an unprecedented hurricane threatens the city, forcing the volatile former couple to work together to survive while somehow keeping their hands off each other. But reckless passion isn’t enough to keep them together this time. Simone must fight to bring the truth to light if she wants her future with Dash to outlast this… Wildfire Hurricane.

Cover Reveal: 2nd Sight

Capturing Insight

by Ben A. Sharpton

The hallucinations won’t stop. They come without warning and with

enough punch to bring a grown man to his knees…

Scott Moore experienced these so-called hallucinations since

he was a teenager – blurry visions of others in exciting and frightening situations.

Except, they aren’t hallucinations at all. What he sees are actual

events those around him have or will experience. Dr. Paul

Blackwell claims he can help Scott control them with medicine and

teach him how to influence the outcomes to help others.

But something doesn’t feel right about the good doctors motives…

Gifts can bring amazing challenges, and Scott discovers thrilling

opportunities to find lost people, protect immigrants, and even

prevent death. But when he “reads” Dr. Blackwell, Scott learns the

doctor had ulterior motives. He’s willing to use Scott’s for blackmail

and insider stock trader information, and he will stop at nothing-even

murder-to harness Scott’s gift of 2nd sight.

The future isn’t as certain as Scott thinks, and Dr. Blackwell has his

own plans for his gifted patient…

Can Scott manage to use his gift to manage his own future, or will Dr.

Blackwell finally succeed in capturing his insight for himself?

Ben A. Sharpton

“Tell stories.” It’s one of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received. Stories inspire people to grow and expand their horizons. They entertain. They challenge. They comfort. Simply put, they make life much better.

I’ve been telling stories all my life. When I worked with youth years ago, I told stories that helped them understand, learn and develop. Later, as a corporate training manager I used stories to demonstrate examples, to encourage better business practices and to stimulate learning. As an online college professor I found stories to be instrumental in challenging people to think and comprehend.

Today I continue to tell stories. You’ll find them in my nonfiction curriculum books and all of my award-winning novels. My hope is you’ll enjoy my stories and share them with your friends.

Then, tell your own stories. It’s a great piece of advice.

The Story Under the Covers – Part 3

One of the reasons I love going to RomCon is because I get to meet romance readers. During my first year, I went to the author social, and I felt like I didn’t belong there. I wondered if I’d made a huge mistake in signing up. But the next day, I co-hosted my first reader event, and I knew I was in the right place. I’m there for the readers.

My favorite is event is the book signing because I always learn something. Last year I was featuring my new release, Home Is Where the Heat Is, with its non-typical romance cover. I’d gone a little too far away from the genre with it, and a reader told me so, in no uncertain terms. You can find the whole story here. This year, I showed off my romance collection with covers that hinted a romance. The authors seated on either side of me both had shirtless guys on their covers, so I felt like I stood out from the crowd.

Not so much.

Readers stopped at the shirtless guys next to me, skipped my table, stopped for shirtless guys at the next table. I felt overlooked, even when I offered chocolate. Just a few days before the convention, my publisher had emailed me and said my books weren’t selling and wondered if the non-traditional covers were hurting them. The book signing convinced me.

So I have hot new covers for the College Romance Series. Two more new covers are coming soon. These are the kind of covers I originally wanted. I want readers to stop at my table too, and not just for the chocolate.

Cover Reveal: Destined for Genius

This cover was a long time coming. The first draft didn’t turn out the way I wanted, so I sent it to my designer for another go, and life got in the way for a couple of months. But I think the final result is better than I envisioned. Ta-da!

Destined for Genius – coming July 27!

Kurt Langston spent one night of hot, decadent sex with the love of his life. But she chose someone else. He’s sworn off relationships for good, preferring the company of online friends he’s never met, his only connections made through the internet. So when Destiny falls into his arms—literally—he lets her go. Love has no place in his life plan.

Destiny D’argo has no plans. No goal, no future aspirations. Just wing it. Her graphic design business pays the bills—barely—and her part-time waitress job fulfills her minimal need for personal interaction. She has no use for schedules or commitments, especially to a guy who happened to make a lucky catch. So why can’t she stop thinking about Kurt?

Their paths intersect again and again, and they can’t keep their hands off each other. Neither one of them wants this, but fate doesn’t seem to care. Can a free-spirited artist make a real connection with a structured computer genius? Or are they doomed from the start?

#CoverReveal – Smoking Gunn – A Trashy Quickie

The cover for my upcoming trashy short story is here! Mallory Rock made this awesome thing. I hope you love it as much as I do. It’ll be available exclusively on Amazon for just 99 cents or FREE through Kindle Unlimited. Coming May 25!

Max Gunn lives a trouble-making, hell raising, rock star life—no good for any woman—and he’s okay with that. He’s been in love before, but never for long, until stripper goddess Blaze grabs a hold of his wayward heart, and he can’t shake it off. Can he do something crazy and have more than a fling with her? Or has he done too much damage already?

Check out the steamy excerpt below.

smokinggunn3Dtransparent“Do I need to spank this guy?” The door swung open and Destiny poked her head in.

I pressed my lips together and waited for Blaze to speak. One wrong word from her and I’d be out on my ass.

Blaze pasted a smile on her lips. “We’re just talking, Des. Thanks.”

Destiny nodded but she stood in the doorway and kept a wary eye on me.

My presence anywhere caused a stir, but I’d never cost anyone money before. “I’m sorry, baby. I had no idea.”

“I’m sure you didn’t.”

My stomach tied itself in knots knowing that I’d caused her pain already. I never wanted to hurt anyone—especially her—but I always managed to do it somehow. “How can I make it up to you?” Turn around and walk out now.

At least we agreed on something. But the growing urge in my pants refused to leave unsatisfied. “I could, but you still owe me a lap dance.”

“You’re not getting a lap dance.”

“All right, fuck me instead.”

Destiny giggled and Blaze rolled her eyes at the woman. Then she turned on me with fire in her eyes and a dangerous smile on her lips. “Do you know who I am?”

“I’m Blaze. I’m so hot my ex-husband named this club for me, and the judge said I could keep it when he left. I’m the most wanted woman in this whole damn city. I could fuck any guy I want—”

“Any girl too.” Destiny coughed and flashed an innocent smile.

“That’s right.” Blaze lifted her foot and placed her six-inch heel on the bench. “Why should I let you have my in-demand pussy?”

That’s when I understood why my rock star status got me laid. “Because you are every man’s fantasy, and I’d be a fool to let this opportunity slip away from me.”

Blaze cocked her head toward Destiny. “Are you buying this?”

“I’d sample his goods.” Her sexy brown eyes focused on my crotch. “Nice package.”

Blaze looked too. “Can’t argue with that.” A tiny spark escaped her eyes before the indifferent mask fell into place. “If she says it’s okay, it’s okay with me.”

Destiny glanced past me with a raised eyebrow, and from the corner of my eye, I caught Blaze giving her a hand signal. Destiny smiled. “I’ll guard the door.”

Blaze gasped, trying to appear surprised. Her acting needed serious direction.

“Thanks, baby.” I winked and Destiny blew me a kiss. When the door clicked shut behind me, I turned to Blaze and stalked her. “Take off your clothes.”

She backed up a step toward the bathroom, but then pure blazing lust flickered in her eyes, and she stopped and stood her ground in those come-fuck-me shoes. “Oh hell no. You’re in my house. You obey my rules.”
