NEW RELEASE! Destined for Genius is available now!

DestinedforGenius3DtransparentKurt Langston spent one night of hot, decadent sex with the love of his life. But she chose someone else. He’s sworn off relationships for good, preferring the company of online friends he’s never met, his only connections made through the internet. So when Destiny falls into his arms—literally—he lets her go. Love has no place in his life plan.

Destiny D’argo has no plans. No goal, no future aspirations. Just wing it. Her graphic design business pays the bills—barely—and her part-time waitress job fulfills her minimal need for personal interaction. She has no use for schedules or commitments, especially to a guy who happened to make a lucky catch. So why can’t she stop thinking about Kurt?

Their paths intersect again and again, and they can’t keep their hands off each other. Neither one of them wants this, but fate doesn’t seem to care. Can a free-spirited artist make a real connection with a structured computer genius? Or are they doomed from the start?

Now available everywhere!

Excerpt – Dial up the dirty

Kurt and Destiny aren’t your typical romance couple. He’s a geek and she’s a goof. But they still know how to dial up the dirty.

DestinedforGenius3DtransparentShe rolled her eyes and picked up a plastic basket, strolling around the store trying to figure out what she could get with the cash in her pocket. She’d had more money in her bank account than she’d expected, so she could afford to eat well this weekend. But what about Monday?

She refused to think about Gary’s deadline right now. Oh, batteries. Destiny tossed a four-pack of double As in the handbasket, trembled when Kurt walked by, then grabbed another pack.

Holy busted sex toys! “Kurt?”

She darted around the end of the aisle, skidding on the linoleum floor as she turned the corner and slammed straight into his chest.

He fumbled the huge can of coffee in his hands and dropped it, scattering the grounds at their tangled feet. “Destiny?”

The rich aroma floated up and infused her already buzzing brain. “What are you? How did you? Are you real or am I Looney Tunes?” She jabbed her finger in his shoulder.

“Ow.” He poked her back. “I refuse to answer that.”

She grabbed a handful of his jacket, yanked him close and kissed him. Coffee crunched under their feet as they tumbled back against the shelf. Boxes of cereal smacked the floor as Kurt wrapped his arms around her. She felt him groan as she slipped her tongue between his parted lips. His strong body pinned her against the immovable shelf, and the heady scent of crushed coffee filled her with a warm sense of comfort. Kissing him felt right. Dependable. Certain. She liked it. Too much. Dial up the dirty, Des. She slid both hands down his back and cupped his ass.

He responded without hesitation, sinking his teeth into her lower lip and grinding his stiff cock between her thighs.

That’s better. Heat swirled inside her, threatening to knock her down so she held him close for security. Good Lord, what’s wrong with me?

“Hey!” The big cashier strode down the aisle and shoved a broom at Kurt. “Clean up this mess.”

“Yes, sir.” Kurt let go of Destiny and grabbed the handle.

She picked up the boxes while he swept the coffee grounds into a neat pile.

“I missed you.” He leaned the broom against the shelf and tangled his hands in her hair as she stood up.

“Me too.” Brilliant. “I mean, is this where you live? Not in the store. Is this your store?”

He cracked a grin. “Are you all right? Usually I’m the bumbler.”

“I haven’t been right since you booted me out of your computery-type room before you finished the job.”

“I would’ve been able to finish you off—more than once—if you hadn’t yanked the Ethernet cable loose and crashed the entire system.”

“Oh, right. Well, maybe next time you need to tie me up with your cable… more than once?”

DestinedforGenius3DtransparentShe stood and grabbed both men’s hands and pulled them to the stage where female patrons dropped their inhibitions and their tops.

Claire needed no encouragement. She climbed on the platform, whipped her shirt off and tossed it into JT’s hands. Her bra landed on Kurt’s head. After a couple of missed beats, her hips caught the rhythm, and she danced half-naked among more than a dozen other topless women of all shapes and sizes.

Kurt held Claire’s silky bra, stroking the warm cups while he watched her. He tried to keep his gaze on her face, but oh hell, he could look at her smile anytime. The persistent semi-erection plaguing him since he’d walked into the club stiffened as he stared at her perfect breasts.

JT elbowed him and laughed as Kurt clamped his gaping mouth shut. “Nice to see that again, Genius?”

Kurt nodded and handed the bra over to the man who got to see Claire’s beautiful nudity every night.

She shimmied close to her personal audience, bending over JT as he tucked a couple dollars in her jeans.

A bodyguard stepped between them. “Hands off.”

“But he’s my boyfriend.” Claire pouted.

The big man shook his head as he lumbered between another tangled couple.

Kurt slipped a dollar into her hand, caressing her palm as a memory of her naked skin on his rattled him. God, I miss that. He curled his fingers, trying to hold onto her, but the stage swelled with half-nude women and separated them.

A shock of brown curls smacked Claire in the face, and she stumbled back as the woman under that wild hair bounced into her.

“Oops, sorry. My butt got away from me.” She steadied herself on Claire’s shoulder and smiled, lighting up the stage and capturing Kurt’s attention. “I can’t dance.”

Claire’s gaze slid to her companion’s bare breasts, then she tilted her head toward the throng of cheering men. “They don’t care.”

The woman laughed and shook her untamable hair. “Neither do I.” She spun, becoming a blur of flesh and denim, teetering on the platform. Her heel slipped on the edge and she toppled into Kurt’s arms. “Whoa!”

He caught her, fumbling for a steady hold as he helped her stand upright. One hand clamped on her ass, and the other gripped a handful of soft breast and hard nipple.

“Great catch! Excellent coordination. Perfect timing. I score that a nine point five.” She smiled and braced herself on his shoulders.

“Uh… I practice.” Are you nuts? “I mean… thank you?” He instinctively stroked his thumb over her bare flesh as the bodyguard marched toward them.

She leaned forward and whispered in his ear. “That earned you a ten.”

This cover was a long time coming. The first draft didn’t turn out the way I wanted, so I sent it to my designer for another go, and life got in the way for a couple of months. But I think the final result is better than I envisioned. Ta-da!

#TrashyBookWeek Ends with a HUGE Announcement!

new cover placeholderI’d promised you the cover reveal for Destined for Genius, but unfortunately, the cover isn’t ready yet. Bummer. But I have BIG news:

The release date has been moved up to July 27! That means my next trashy romance will be in your hot little hands in less than two months. Are you excited? I am!

Here’s a  trashy tease for you.

~~~
“You’ve never fucked a stranger just for fun?”
“Fucking is always fun.” The small smile blossomed under his declaration, so he pulled her arms free and draped them around his waist. “There was this one girl in college, at a frat party—”
“They have fraternities for geeks?” She clamped her mouth shut as soon as the words spilled out.
He dragged the pad of his thumb over her lips, and they immediately softened. Kurt made a note to thank JT for teaching him that trick. “I had to maintain a three point seven five GPA to be a member.”
She slid her hands into his back pockets again. “And you had…?”
Access granted. “Three point nine seven.” He rested his hands on her shoulders and slipped his fingers under her short sleeves, caressing her warm skin.
“Ooo… Genius.” She squeezed his butt.
Kurt winced. “Don’t call me that.” Hearing her say the nickname his friend had given him conjured images he’d rather not face at the moment.
She raised an eyebrow, but didn’t argue. “Okay. What about the girl?”
“Huh?” The only girl he wanted was currently tugging his zipper and creating havoc with his memory. “Oh her.” The previous data came back to him. “We got a little drunk and had sex in the hot tub, right in the middle of the party. No one knew.”
“I’m sure everyone knew.” She finally managed to slide his zipper down, dragging her fingers along his erection as she did it.
Fireworks exploded in his pants, but Kurt couldn’t let her do all the touching. He dragged his hand down her back and snuck it under her shirt. She’d put it on without caging those cute bare tits in a bra. Maybe he could steal another squeeze. “Yeah, you’re probably right. I never got her name. Never saw her again.”
“Why can’t I be like her?” She rested her butt against the wall, effectively pulling away from him.
His hand froze, but when she arched her back, he realized she was giving him more room to move, not trying to stop him. “Well, for one thing, you’re much prettier.” He reached up and cupped her bare breast.
She pressed into his palm. “Really?”
“Oh yeah, all these wild curls,” he slid his other hand into her hair, “so soft. Your deep brown eyes, soft brown skin. Wow, you’re cozier than my favorite pillow.”
She looked at him like he’d said Han Solo shot Greedo in self-defense, but then the skepticism faded and she smiled.
“And your smile could power the Death Star’s shield generator.” Rein it in, dork. He dragged his thumb over her nipple.
“That’s a compliment, right?”
“Big one.”
She reached down between his legs. “So is this.”
~~~

Han shot first.

It’s a little bit dorky too, but that’s why I love this book so much.

#TrashyBookWeek 2015!

I found a post on Tumblr this morning that really pissed me off. A group of people, I don’t know who, probably some religious nuts, built a small house out of romance novels and set it on fire, saying that they were burning trash. Grrr. I’m not going to link to that post because I don’t want to give these idiots more attention than they deserve. They called their creation the Love Shack and then they destroyed it. That’s a sad commentary on our society that I can’t put into words right now. Maybe I’ll deal with it later.

When I was in high school, my youth group burned a bunch of rock albums. I’m sure they would’ve burned romance novels if they’d thought of it. I grew up with this narrow-minded, judgmental bullshit, and fighting back against it is one of the reasons I write trash now. (I can call it trash because I do it for fun.)

So in honor of my new release and in defiance of those who burn romance novels, I am declaring May 24 – 30th Trashy Book Week! Let’s celebrate romance novels in all their smutty goodness. Join me on Facebook where I’ll be asking my friends and followers to share their favorite trashy romance novels and sexy covers. I’ll also be posting positive articles about romance novels throughout the week, and on Saturday, I’ll reveal the cover for my upcoming trashy romance, Destined for Genius. Use the hashtag #TrashyBookWeek whenever you share something.

Let’s have some trashy fun!

Here’s my favorite old-school, bodice-ripper trash. Royce is so damn hot. The spine is bent to open to all the ‘good parts’. Hehehe.

Check out the steamy excerpt below.

smokinggunn3Dtransparent“Do I need to spank this guy?” The door swung open and Destiny poked her head in.

I pressed my lips together and waited for Blaze to speak. One wrong word from her and I’d be out on my ass.

Blaze pasted a smile on her lips. “We’re just talking, Des. Thanks.”

Destiny nodded but she stood in the doorway and kept a wary eye on me.

My presence anywhere caused a stir, but I’d never cost anyone money before. “I’m sorry, baby. I had no idea.”

“I’m sure you didn’t.”

My stomach tied itself in knots knowing that I’d caused her pain already. I never wanted to hurt anyone—especially her—but I always managed to do it somehow. “How can I make it up to you?” Turn around and walk out now.

“Leave.”

At least we agreed on something. But the growing urge in my pants refused to leave unsatisfied. “I could, but you still owe me a lap dance.”

“You’re not getting a lap dance.”

“All right, fuck me instead.”

Destiny giggled and Blaze rolled her eyes at the woman. Then she turned on me with fire in her eyes and a dangerous smile on her lips. “Do you know who I am?”

“Uh….”

“I’m Blaze. I’m so hot my ex-husband named this club for me, and the judge said I could keep it when he left. I’m the most wanted woman in this whole damn city. I could fuck any guy I want—”

“Any girl too.” Destiny coughed and flashed an innocent smile.

“That’s right.” Blaze lifted her foot and placed her six-inch heel on the bench. “Why should I let you have my in-demand pussy?”

That’s when I understood why my rock star status got me laid. “Because you are every man’s fantasy, and I’d be a fool to let this opportunity slip away from me.”

Blaze cocked her head toward Destiny. “Are you buying this?”

“I’d sample his goods.” Her sexy brown eyes focused on my crotch. “Nice package.”

Blaze looked too. “Can’t argue with that.” A tiny spark escaped her eyes before the indifferent mask fell into place. “If she says it’s okay, it’s okay with me.”

Destiny glanced past me with a raised eyebrow, and from the corner of my eye, I caught Blaze giving her a hand signal. Destiny smiled. “I’ll guard the door.”

Blaze gasped, trying to appear surprised. Her acting needed serious direction.

“Thanks, baby.” I winked and Destiny blew me a kiss. When the door clicked shut behind me, I turned to Blaze and stalked her. “Take off your clothes.”

She backed up a step toward the bathroom, but then pure blazing lust flickered in her eyes, and she stopped and stood her ground in those come-fuck-me shoes. “Oh hell no. You’re in my house. You obey my rules.”
